How to Choose Wedding Flowers for Your Season

Choosing flowers by season is one of the easiest ways to get a beautiful result. Flowers that are in season are at their best: fuller, fresher and more fragrant. They are often easier to source too.

Spring

Soft, romantic and delicate. Think ranunculus, tulips, sweet peas, anemones and, for late spring, peonies. Pastels and creams feel natural here.

Summer

Lush and abundant. Garden roses, hydrangeas, delphinium, snapdragons and greenery create full, flowing designs that suit outdoor ceremonies and garden receptions.

Fall

Rich and dramatic. Dahlias, chrysanthemums, roses in deep tones, berries and textural grasses pair well with burgundy, rust, gold and candlelight.

Winter

Elegant and glowing. White amaryllis, roses, evergreen and silvery foliage make a refined winter palette, especially with candles and metallic accents.

If you have your heart set on something out of season

It is often possible, but it can affect availability and cost. Share your must-have blooms early and your designer can suggest beautiful alternatives that give you the same look.
